Noah’s Ark Gets Recognition

To staff of Noah’s Ark Communications Limited, an advertising agency, it is time to pop the champagne as the agency recently became the first in Nigeria to be recognised for exceptional creativity by Cannes Lions, an international annual awards show and festival for professionals in the creative communications industry. This is coming after the agency won 12 laurels at the eighth Lagos Advertising & Ideas Festival, LAIF, awards organised by the Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria, AAAN.

 

Elated Lanre Adisa, managing director of the agency, attributes the awards to the resilience of the staff. He noted that the Cannes Lions recognition was not only for the agency but also for the Nigerian advertising industry as a whole. “We won one gold, four silver and seven bronze medals to emerge overall second on the medals table at the award,” he said. Adisa stated that the agency won gold (radio) for Paga in the Bank and Investment category, one silver (outdoor) for Indomie, another silver (press) for Indomie Oriental Fried Noodles and a silver medal for Power Pasta (radio), all in the Food and Consumables category, while the last silver medal was won for best use of media for VConnect in the special category.
