GOtv, a pay satellite television owned by MultiChoice Africa, intends to make this Christmas a wonderful one for its loyal customers and new ones. The pay television provider has added a new channel called Hip TV to its bouquet, while also slashing the price of its decoder from N6,900 to N5,400, to enable more subscribers join the platform.

Efe Obiomah, public relations manager of the company, noted that the new channel was born out of the need to create a rich content for television viewers. She added that the channel will focus on music and lifestyle programmes, which will cater for the needs of different categories of viewers. “Viewers can look forward to the coverage of the latest entertainment news, red carpet events and exclusive interviews with global stars. The launch of Hip TV brings the channels on the GOtv plus bouquet to 40,” she said.

Explaining the rationale behind the reduction in the price of the bouquet, Obiomah noted that the company wanted more Nigerians to enjoy the qualitative programmes that the platform offers. “The lowering of the entry barrier and unbundling of the decoders means that there is opportunity for more subscribers to join the GOtv family and enjoy exciting quality entertainment from the comfort of their homes,” she said.
